How can we begin to better understand one another?
A way to invite it, might be to start from this:
We all care about things.
What we care about is different for each of us.
But that we care, we share.
In order to better understand one another, across inevitable differences between us, we may start by asking:
What matters to you?
What is of concern to you?
What do you care about?
What is at stake for you?
What matters to you, here?
If we can do that for each other and ourselves, ask one another this, it may be a beginning of dialogue and of some kind of reaching one another, in respect.
